Description
Custom Oil Resistant Polyurethane Wheels for Machine Tools
Why Choose Our Oil Resistant Polyurethane Wheels for Machine Tools
Built for machine tool trolleys, transfer carts and fixtures that run in constant contact with cutting oil, coolant and hydraulic fluid, these wheels combine an oil resistant polyurethane tread with a machined steel or aluminum core. The compound resists swelling far better than nitrile rubber, holds its hardness through long shifts, and stays dimensionally stable so trolleys track straight in automated and semi-automated cells.
Hardness, bore, keyway, hub length and core material are all made to your drawing, and every batch is tested for hardness, bond strength and runout before packing. Whether you need a single prototype wheel or a wholesale volume order, our engineers provide expert advice and a price suggestion matched to your application and market.
Typical applications: machine tool trolleys, heavy casting transfer carts, CNC workshop fixtures, automated guided vehicles, metalworking assembly stations, and material handling equipment running on oily or coolant-exposed floors.
- Oil and coolant resistance. The polyurethane compound resists swelling in cutting oil and water-based coolant far better than nitrile rubber, so wheel dimensions stay stable through long shifts on machine shop floors.
- Higher load per wheel. A machined steel core carries the load and the PU tread absorbs shock, allowing up to 5,000 kg per wheel in the larger sizes, which means fewer wheels per cart or fixture.
- Non-marking, low-noise running. The tread is available in a non-marking grade that protects finished surfaces and reduces rolling noise on concrete and epoxy floors.
- Tight dimensional control. Diameter tolerance within ±0.1 mm and radial runout within 0.05 mm keep trolleys and transfer carts tracking straight, which matters in automated and semi-automated cells.
- Customized from the compound up. Hardness, bore, keyway, hub length and core material are all made to your drawing, supported by a factory that handles casting, machining, bonding and testing in one place.

Material Properties – Oil Resistant Polyurethane Compound
| Property | Typical Value | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Hardness (Shore A) | 70 to 95 | Selected to balance load capacity and grip |
| Abrasion resistance | Low volume loss, DIN 53516 tested | Suited to oily, abrasive workshop floors |
| Oil and coolant swelling | Under 2% after 72 hours immersion | Keeps dimensions stable in machine tool service |
| Tensile strength | 35 to 55 MPa | Bonded tread on a machined core |
| Compression set | Low | Holds shape under continuous static load |
| Temperature range | -20 °C to +80 °C | Short peaks up to +100 °C |
A softer compound around Shore A 70 to 80 grips better and rolls more quietly but deflects more under load, while a harder compound around Shore A 90 to 95 carries heavier loads with lower rolling resistance but gives less floor protection. For machine tool trolleys that move slowly and carry heavy castings, we usually suggest the harder end of the range; for lighter fixtures on finished floors, the softer end works better. Custom hardness from Shore 70A to 95A is available from our factory.
About ZHXPRECI – China OEM/ODM Factory for Oil Resistant Polyurethane Wheels
About Us

Customers Visiting

Thank you for visiting. We are a manufacturer in China specializing in custom polyurethane wheels and rollers for machine tools, conveyors and material handling equipment. Over the past decade we have supplied OEM and ODM projects to buyers in Europe, North America, Japan, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, and we have learned that most problems on a wheel come from compound selection and bonding quality rather than from the metal parts. Our team handles compound formulation, core machining, casting, bonding, finishing and testing under one roof, which keeps quality consistent and cost under control. Because we sell directly from the factory, there is no middleman mark-up, and the technical advice you receive comes from the people who actually make the wheel. Wholesale orders are welcome with competitive direct pricing.
Factory & Equipment

Our Certifications (ISO 9001, RoHS, Testing Reports)
Our workshop runs CNC lathes and machining centres for core production, polyurethane casting and curing lines, bonding and vulcanizing presses, dynamic balancing benches, hardness testers and dimensional inspection stations. This setup lets us hold diameter tolerance within ±0.1 mm and radial runout within 0.05 mm on production wheels, and it lets us move quickly on customized files without outsourcing the critical steps. Production planning is shared with our sales team, so when you ask about the status of an order, you get an answer based on the actual machine schedule rather than a general estimate.

Our quality management is organized around ISO 9001 requirements. Every batch is checked for hardness, bond strength, dimensions and runout, and the wheels are balanced before packing. Inspection reports, material certificates and dimensional records can be issued with the shipment, and third-party inspection or a pre-shipment video check is welcome. Wheel performance depends heavily on how the product is used, so we also ask buyers to share their load, speed and floor conditions, which helps us match the compound to the real working environment.
Customer Visits
Customers from Europe, North America, the Middle East and Southeast Asia visit our factory every year to review production, check samples and discuss new projects. If you would like to arrange a factory visit or a live video tour of the workshop and testing area, contact us and we will set a time that fits your schedule. Seeing the casting and bonding process in person is often the fastest way to judge whether a supplier is a good long-term fit.

Frequently Asked Questions – Oil Resistant Polyurethane Wheels for Machine Tools
1. Can you customize the wheel size, bore and hardness for our machine tools?
Yes. As a manufacturer in China with our own tooling and machining workshop, we produce custom wheels from 80 mm up to 500 mm in diameter, with bores, keyways, hub lengths and polyurethane hardness selected for your equipment. Send a drawing or a sample and our engineers will come back with a practical suggestion on hardness and core design, together with a price for the quantity you need.
2. How do oil resistant polyurethane wheels compare with rubber wheels in a machine shop?
Rubber tends to swell and soften when it is repeatedly exposed to cutting oil and coolant, and the tread can leave marks on finished parts. Our oil resistant polyurethane compound keeps its hardness and dimensions in the same environment, carries a higher load for the same wheel size, and is available in a non-marking grade. In practice that means longer service life and fewer unplanned wheel changes on the shop floor.
3. What is your minimum order quantity and how is pricing structured?
MOQ is negotiable because it depends on size and tooling. Standard sizes can often be supplied in small trial quantities, while customized wheels that require a new mold are usually quoted from a few hundred pieces. Wholesale and OEM pricing improves with volume, and we are happy to give you a clear price breakdown before you commit to anything.
4. What is the lead time, and can you handle urgent orders?
Standard wheels are normally ready within 15 to 25 days after order confirmation, and customized items take longer because of mold making and curing time. The exact lead time can shift with raw material supply, machine scheduling and peak season, so we confirm a realistic delivery estimate when the order is placed and keep you updated during production. For urgent projects, contact us early and we will check capacity and see how your schedule can be accommodated.
5. How do you control quality and what documents can you provide?
Each batch is checked for hardness, bond strength, dimensions and runout, and the wheels are balanced before packing. Our quality management is organized around ISO 9001 requirements. Inspection reports, material certificates and dimensional records can be issued with the shipment, and third-party inspection is welcome.
6. How are the wheels packed for export shipping?
Wheels are wrapped individually, packed in cartons and then placed in plywood cases with moisture protection for sea or air freight. Heavier wheels are blocked inside the case to prevent movement in transit. We can also print your labels and carton marks for OEM orders.
7. Can you send samples before we place a bulk order?
Yes. We can supply stock samples or produce a small sample batch to your drawing so you can test the wheel on your own machine. Sample cost and freight are usually charged, and the sample cost can be discussed against your bulk order later.
8. Do you offer competitive wholesale pricing for oil resistant polyurethane wheels?
As a direct China factory, we provide fair pricing based on quantity, size and compound. For volume orders of 100 pieces or more, contact us for a tailored quote. Our oil resistant polyurethane wheels are designed to balance performance and cost for machine tool builders, distributors and MRO buyers.
9. What payment methods do you accept for OEM/ODM orders?
We accept bank transfer (T/T), and for smaller trial orders, PayPal or Western Union. Long-term partners may discuss letter of credit. Please ask our team for the details that fit your order size and country.
10. What warranty do you offer on your oil resistant polyurethane wheels?
Standard warranty is 180 days from shipment date against manufacturing defects. Extended warranty options can be discussed for bulk orders. Normal wear and tear, or improper installation, is not covered. Contact us for the warranty terms that match your project.
