Description
Custom RoHS Compliant Polyurethane Wheels for Telecom Racks – Low-Noise PU Casters for Server Cabinets and Outdoor Enclosures
Why Choose This Product
Telecom racks are rarely moved, but when they are, the wheels have to work quietly and predictably — that is exactly the problem this wheel is designed to solve. A precision-cast polyurethane tread with Shore A 90±2 hardness delivers the load-bearing strength of a hard tread without the harsh rumble of solid nylon, and the bonded core resists tread separation even after repeated rolling over cable trays and raised floor gaps. Because every dimension and material can be customized, the same platform serves a lightweight wall-mounted rack or a fully loaded 42U cabinet.
We supply custom OEM and ODM polyurethane wheels with tread hardness from Shore A 80 to 95, cores in nylon, aluminum or carbon steel, and a choice of precision ball bearing, stainless steel bearing or plain bore. In-house rolling tests at 4 km/h hold noise at or below 55 dB, which keeps noise-sensitive data halls and control rooms within acceptable limits, and each batch ships with RoHS and REACH documentation so incoming inspection and end-customer declarations are covered without chasing suppliers for paperwork.
Typical applications: server cabinets, 42U racks, wall-mounted cabinets, outdoor telecom enclosures, network equipment transfer carts and raised-floor data centers.

These figures come from routine batch testing on our standard telecom-grade compound. If your application demands a different balance of hardness, rebound or chemical resistance, our technical team can adjust the formula and re-test before production. Custom hardness from Shore A 80 to 95 is available for wholesale and OEM projects.

Production & Inventory Policy
Lead time: Actual lead times are affected by raw material availability, machining schedules and peak-season workload, so reasonable fluctuations are normal. Once your order is confirmed, we provide the most accurate delivery estimate we can and keep you informed throughout production.
Stock status: We do not hold stock as a general rule, although a limited range of fast-moving standard sizes is kept on hand. Those quantities change with sales and production, so please contact us to confirm live stock before ordering.
Bulk & urgent orders: For large volumes or urgent requirements, please talk to us early about capacity and scheduling. We will do our best to fit your timeline.
Frequently Asked Questions – Polyurethane Wheels for Telecom Racks
1. Are these polyurethane wheels suitable for fully loaded telecom racks?
Yes, within the rated range. A 100 mm wheel with an aluminum or steel core carries up to 250 kg per wheel, and a 125 mm version handles more. For a 42U cabinet with batteries, we normally recommend an aluminum core and a precision ball bearing so the rack rolls smoothly even at the upper end of the load range. Send us your total weight and floor conditions and we will confirm the right size.
2. How do I choose between nylon, aluminum and steel cores?
Nylon cores are the lightest and most economical option for rack weights up to roughly 120 kg per wheel. Aluminum cores add stiffness and heat dissipation, which helps with continuous rolling and higher loads. Carbon steel cores are the choice for the heaviest racks or where impact resistance matters most. All three can be supplied with the same polyurethane tread, so the choice comes down to load, weight and budget.
3. Can you customize the hardness for a quieter installation?
Absolutely. Dropping the tread from Shore A 90 to Shore A 85 reduces rolling noise noticeably and softens the ride over floor joints, at a small cost in load capacity. We can produce a test set at two hardness levels so you can compare noise and rolling effort on your own rack before committing to a full order.
4. How do you guarantee RoHS and REACH compliance?
Our polyurethane compounds are formulated without restricted phthalates, heavy-metal stabilizers and other substances listed under the RoHS and REACH directives. Each production batch is tested, and we issue the corresponding compliance reports with the shipping documents. If your market requires additional declarations, our team can prepare them.
5. What is the minimum order quantity and typical lead time?
Our standard minimum order quantity is 200 pieces per size, though we can accept smaller trial quantities for first-time buyers. Standard lead time runs 12 to 20 working days after sample approval, depending on material availability and current scheduling. For urgent projects, tell us your deadline and we will check what capacity we can free up.
6. Do you support OEM and ODM customization, including branding?
Yes. OEM and ODM work is a core part of what we do. We can modify the hub profile, tread hardness, color, bearing type and mounting interface, and we can print your logo on the wheel, apply your label to the carton or pack to your own retail artwork. Share your drawing or sample and we will confirm what is achievable.
7. How are the wheels packed and shipped?
Standard packing is an export carton on a pallet, with wheels separated to protect the tread surface and bearing seat. We can also supply custom retail packing, blister packs or labeled inner boxes. Shipping is arranged by sea, air or express according to your quantity and deadline, and we work with your forwarder or our own.
8. What are your payment terms and warranty?
We normally work on a 30% deposit with the balance paid before shipment, and other terms can be discussed for established customers. All wheels carry a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. If a problem appears, send us the batch number and photos and we will investigate and provide a replacement or credit.
